Klas 3E ontvangt Cambridge University Achievement Award

'This is to certify that class 3E, Ms Velthoven, Coornhert Gymnasium was highly commended for an outstanding entry in the Cambridge English Centenary Competition for Schools 2013.'

Najaar 2013 nam klas 3E deel aan de Cambridge English Centenary Competition for Schools 2013. Deze competitie was 'designed to engage and motivate students with their English language learning'.

Some examples of how 3E used English during the project:

- "We discussed in English about what invention to come up with, we tried to convince people our invention was wonderful, we spoke in front of the Dragons (class) and we tried to answer tough questions from the Dragons."

- "We spoke English the whole project and also used difficult words."

- "We used a variety of words, coming up with well-written English sentences."

- "We have learned how to use your English in a formal way when you are talking to people."

- "We learned a lot of business-related terms, like turnover, production rate, retail market and a lot of other words."

Congratulations 3E! Well done!!
