A Fond Farewell to our native speaker, Beverley Tak

On this wonderful Wednesday, we warmly wished farewell to our beloved English native speaker, Beverley Tak, as she gave her final lessons to a close.

In a sweet and symbolic show of appreciation, all the students who had an English class stepped into her classroom during the last 15 minutes of their lessons to present her with crafted cards filled with fond farewell wishes for her well-deserved pension.

The entire English department gathered to mark the occasion—many of us came in especially to be there for her on her special day. Together, we offered her a bouquet of bright, beautiful blooms, a small symbol of the big impact she’s had on our department and our school.

It was a moment filled with gratitude, smiles and heartfelt goodbyes- a fitting finale for someone who brought so much heart and harmony to our halls.

Ps. Beverley had a boundless love for alliteration—so it seemed splendidly suitable that this tiny tribute be teeming with it.
